  •  Contents of the table: This table shows the volume and amount of checks cleared by Banks, Cooperative Banks and Savings and Credit Societies. Through the Check Clearing System.
  •  What is check clearing? It is a service provided nationwide by the Central Bank, which consists of electronic records of data to clear, through the Check Clearing System, and the physical exchange that takes place at the facilities of the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador. Entities that are authorized to receive demand deposits, withdrawable through checks, duly authorized by the Superintendence of the Financial System, can participate in this service.
  •  Measurement unit: Amount expressed in millions of dollars, and volume expressed in simple units.
