- Source: BCR - External Sector Department with Balance of Payment methodological treatment and data provided by banks, remittance companies, federations, telephone and digital wallet companies.
- Technical notes:
- a) Cash remittance data are calculated based on surveys conducted in the United States.
- b) Individual statistics for institutions, entities, and individuals are confidential data in accordance with Article 64 of the Organic Law of the Central Reserve Bank and Article 24 of the Law on Access to Public Information.
- c) Regarding data quality, the Sixth Balance of Payments Manual and the IMF's Guide for Compilers and Users of International Remittance Transactions recommend establishing policies for reviewing statistics, which are carried out annually.
